Anna has taught a broad ranges of courses across geographic areas (American as well as British and European histories), disciplines (within history as well as interdisciplinary courses on museum studies, gender, and race/ethnicity studies), and levels of difficulty (including introductory surveys, senior thesis seminars, and masters-level practica). She would be thrilled to offer courses on topics such as US and comparative history, women’s and gender history, social movement activism, social welfare policy, or childhood. Her goal in the classroom is to provide students with an analytical lens and useable narrative to better understanding how the present has been constructed. Anna values student-centered learning, providing opportunities for students to take ownership over their assignments and responsibility for creating an intellectual community in the classroom. As redressing societal inequalities is one of the key factors motivating her research and praxis, she is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity. A list of courses taught follows, and a full teaching portfolio is available on request.
